Alba is a beautiful Medieval town in the heart of the Langhe region which is
one of Italy’s most renowned wine-producing areas. It has strong gastronomic traditions and is also known for its sweetmeats and attracts
an up-market level of tourism, in particular during the white truffle season.
There are many fascinating towns within a few kilometres from the Locanda including
Barolo, Barbaresco, Castiglione Falletto, La Morra, Neive, Serralunga, Manforte
and Grinzane Cavour which, with their castles and traditions, are well worth visiting.
